Warranty
hummel Lugagge is manufactured and sold by Valeria Premiums under exclusive license from Hummel India Private Limited.
Customers are required to register their product online in order to qualify for warranty coverage. To submit a claim, your item must qualify under warranty coverage, subject to the exclusions outlined below. You will need the original store receipt to validate purchase is from an authorised hummel / Valeria Premiums retailer.
How to file a warranty claim
Read the Warranty below. If, after reading, you feel that your product qualifies for a Warranty Claim, please contact the Customer Service Department using the “After Sales Service Form.” You will be required to submit high resolution photos clearly showing the damage and/or defect to file a warranty claim. Please note that you are responsible for all costs of getting the product to an Authorised Repair Centre including, but not limited to, the cost of packaging, shipping and applicable There will not be a refund or a replacement product if we determine that an exclusion applies.
Warranty against Defects
This warranty is only extended to the original purchaser or gift recipient of a product. Depending on the product, hummel / Valeria Premiums offers One (1) Year Limited Warranty, for period computed from the date of purchase. The limited warranty allows you to have your product repaired or replaced subject to the terms and conditions set forth below, but it does not open up a right to damages. Incidental and indirect damage as well as labour costs and damage attributable to third parties other than an authorised repair centre are not covered by the warranty.
1 Year Limited Warranty
Valeria Premiums covers defects in materials and workmanship that negatively impact the functional performance of the product.
Please retain your receipt, and notice of warranty or hangtag specifying the warranty, as these documents will be helpful for you to exercise your warranty rights.
Warranty Coverage
For warranty repair evaluation, your product will need to be evaluated by our Authorised Repair Centre. Please note that you are responsible for all costs of getting the product to an Authorised Repair Centre including, but not limited to, the cost of packaging, shipping and applicable taxes. The Authorised Repair Centre will make the final determination on whether or not the damage is covered under Valeria Premiums’ warranty. The following are the possible outcomes:
- If the product is repairable and covered under warranty, any repair or replacement and the cost of returning the product to you will be at Valeria Premiums’ expense.
- If the product is to be replaced and is covered under warranty but is no longer available, Valeria Premiums will contact you via email and will substitute and ship a comparable replacement product to you, at Valeria Premiums’ expense.
- If the product is repairable and not covered under warranty, you may either have the product returned to you un-repaired, or have the product repaired at your own expense. You will pay for return shipping in each instance. This will be communicated to you by the Authorised Repair Centre.
- If the product is not repairable and not covered under warranty, you can elect to have the Authorised Repair Centre send the product back to you un-repaired at your own expense, or you may ask the Authorised Repair Centre to dispose of the product. This will be communicated to you by the Authorised Repair Centre via phone/email.
You may choose to ship or personally bring your product to the Authorised Repair Centre. If you select to ship it to the Authorised Repair Centre, we recommend using a carrier that will provide you with a tracking number.
Exclusions
The warranty only applies to hummel Luggage manufactured by Valeria Premiums under license from Hummel India Private Limited that can be identified by the hummel trademark or logo affixed to them. The warranty does not apply to any non-Valeria Premiums product, even if packaged or sold with a Valeria Premiums product.
Other exclusions include:
- an accident from the outside such as falls, blows or damage during transport (e.g. airlines);
- wear and tear due to rubbing;
- exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, water or any other liquid;
- discolorations of parts that can occur during normal use;
- discolorations of parts due to usage of unspecified chemicals/cleaning agents, disinfectant solutions, etc.
- any change of colour or fading, whether caused by the sun or any other cause likely to alter the product;
- theft;
- misuse or modification of the product;
- zipper malfunction due to overpacking / overloading.
- damage to the lock due to forgotten password.
- normal wear and tear;
- damage resulting from a use not adapted to the product such as transporting inappropriate objects or children or using the suitcase as a chair.
- transport and/or improper packaging during return of the product.
In addition: labour charges and damages attributable to work performed by anyone other than an Authorised Repair Centre are not covered by this warranty.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, any implied warranties are hereby excluded. The warranty provided herein is limited to the value of the product. Manufacturing specifications are subject to change without notice. Product locks are intended only to prevent accidental opening and cannot necessarily prevent theft of the product or its contents, breakage or entry by airline or airport personnel or governmental authorities. Inspect your product immediately after handling by anyone other than you. If damaged in transit, submit a claim to the transit company (which is insured against damaging your product) at the place of arrival, if possible, before clearing customs. This warranty is intended to give you specific legal rights. In addition to the rights described herein, you may also have other rights with respect to the exclusion or application of implied warranties, incidental and consequential damages and repair and replacement. Consequently, the limitations or exclusions specifically contained in this warranty may not be applicable to you.
Limitation of Warranty
THIS WARRANTY AND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH IN THIS DOCUMENT ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES, AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER WRITTEN OR NOT WRITTEN, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. VALERIA PREMIUMS SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
VALERIA PREMIUMS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT IT WILL BE ABLE TO REPAIR ANY PRODUCT UNDER THIS WARRANTY OR PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT PRODUCT THAT MEETS ALL THE CHARACTERISTICS AND FUNCTIONALITIES OF THE ORIGINAL PRODUCT.
Limitation of Damages
VALERIA PREMIUMS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL (SUCH AS LOSS OF CONTENT, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF TIME, ETC.), OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR PERSONAL INJURY, PAIN AND SUFFERING, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF GOODWILL, AND WHETHER CAUSED BY TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), BREACH OF CONTRACT OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF FORESEEABLE, CAUSED BY A PRODUCT DEFECT.
First 10 Days Window
If a damaged or defective new product was shipped to you, you will have ten (10) days to contact us using the “After Sales Service” form, to submit high resolution photos clearly showing the damage and/or defect, return the product, and request a full refund or a replacement product. There will not be a refund or a replacement product if we determine that an exclusion applies.
Within this ten (10) day window, Valeria Premiums will be responsible for your shipping costs from you and to you, regardless if Valeria Premiums determines that the warranty is not applicable.
Beyond this ten (10) day window, the other relevant terms of this Warranty will take effect.
Ownership Rights
When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property, and the replaced item becomes Valeria Premiums’ property. When a refund is given, the returned product becomes Valeria Premiums’ property.
Territoriality of the warranty
The limited commercial warranty applies to all purchases of hummel Luggage covered by a warranty certificate in the geographical territory of India.
